Flooding has destroyed homes, roads, and food supplies, leaving families displaced and without basics. Damaged roads and communication lines make it harder to reach those in urgent need.
What Happened
On August 26, 2026, severe floods and mudslides struck communities across Nepal, hitting the Himalayan and Nepal–Tibet border regions hardest.
They destroyed homes, roads, bridges, and food supplies, displacing many families and leaving some remote communities cut off by damaged roads and communication lines.
The Church in Need
Our local ministry leaders are not only victims of this disaster; many have become first responders — helping neighbors, identifying urgent needs, and connecting the most vulnerable families with assistance. In the midst of loss, the local Church has an opportunity to make the love of Christ visible through practical compassion, emergency relief, and spiritual encouragement.
This is TEA/CAM's greatest strength: a network of indigenous leaders who already have trusted relationships within these communities. Through them, we can identify real needs, verify them, and direct help exactly where it is most urgently required.
